Green Detox Smoothie
Load up your blender with mostly greens for a tasty way to flood your body with plant-based nutrients. The apple or pear will add sweetness, while the array of vegetables will have you meeting your five-a-day in no time.

Ingredients:
- 120-240 ml water or coconut water
- 70g spinach or kale
- 200g cucumber, peeled and roughly chopped
- 2 celery stalks, roughly chopped
- 3 romaine lettuce leaves
- 2-3 fine slices fresh ginger
- 2tbsp lemon juice
- pinch of sea salt
- 1 apple or pear, cored and roughly chopped
1 . Place the water (start with 120ml and add more for your desired consistency) and spinach or kale in a high-speed blender and blend until smooth.
2 . Add the cucumber, celery and lettuce leaves and continue to blend. Gradually mix in the remaining ingredients, reserving the apple or pear for last. Add more water if necessary and blend for a creamy and refreshing green smoothie.
3 . Serve immediately.
Tip: For an extra hydrating green smoothie use coconut water in place of water. And if you'd like to add more sweetness put an additional half a cup of pineapple.
