Healing Turmeric Latte

Jazz up brunch with this golden latte! A dash of black pepper in our signature latte enhances the bioavailability of turmeric, a powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. Take one sip, and you will be hooked.

Prepare: 5 minutes

Storage: Best consumed immediately

Ingredients:

  • 240ml unsweetened almond or coconut milk
  • 1 tbsp grated fresh turmeric or 2 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1 tbsp fresh grated ginger (or 1tsp ground)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • pinch of freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • ½ tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp honey or maple syrup, to taste

1. Gently warm the almond or coconut milk in a small saucepan. Do not boil. Add the turmeric, ginger, cinnamon and black pepper.

2. Add the coconut oil and vanilla extract and heat until melted. Use a wire whisk or immersion blender to mix until frothy and heated through.

3. Stir in the honey or maple syrup to taste.

4. Serve immediately.

Tip: For extra creaminess use coconut butter in place of coconut oil.
