Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie

This smoothie is not only delicious, it is also perfectly designed to include key ingredients that work together to pull out heavy metal out of your body. Powerful detoxifying Nettle and Spirulina is combined with nutrient rich Celery, Cucumber and Lemon juice. The Apple will add sweetness whilst "superfood" Ginger is packed with antioxidants.

Serves: 2

Prepare: 5 minutes

Storage: Best consumed immediately

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ apple
  • 100g steamed nettle, drained
  • 100g cucumber, peeled and roughly chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, roughly chopped
  • 2 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/2 lemon, juice
  • pinch of sea salt
  • 1 tsp spirulina powder

1. Place all ingredients in a high-speed blender, add half a cup of water and blend until smooth. Add more water if necessary. Pour in two high glasses and sprinkle over the spirulina powder.

2. Serve immediately, preferably in the morning.

Tip: For an extra hydrating smoothie use coconut water in place of water. And if you'd like to add more sweetness put an additional half a pear, but use water instead.
